Laurie May is leaving Entertainment One, the company said Monday.

The former Alliance Films EVP joined eOne following the company’s acquisition of Alliance Films in January. She said Monday in a statement that she has decided to pursue other opportunities.

May at Alliance oversaw the company’s cross-functional operations. Prior to joining Alliance, she was co-president and co-founder of Maple Pictures, which handled Lionsgate’s film and TV slate in Canada. Maple was acquired by Alliance Films in 2011. Before joining Maple Pictures, May was SVP business and legal affairs for Lionsgate.

May is the latest executive to leave eOne following its acquisition of Alliance Films.

Former Alliance chairman and CEO Victor Loewy and former president Charles Layton announced their departures shortly after the takeover was completed. And former Alliance senior VP of worldwide acquisitions and production Robert Walak followed soon after in February.
