TARA awards handed out

Writer/director Emily Jenkins’ satirical film The Path dominated the 35th annual TARA awards, which honours the best work at Ryerson’s Radio and Television Arts program.

The Glass Eye Pictures film, produced by Katie Bishop, won for best direction, post-production, cinematography and art direction.

The ensemble cast for The Path is led by Stephen Joffe and Erin Hicock.

Other TARA winners include the best first-year script going to Cheque Please!, by Leandra Maura Vermeulen, and the best first-year production earned by Aja Anthony Jones’ Double Booked.

Other multiple winners include Living Rights, by Wolfpack Productions, which won for best single camera production and best music recording.

And Mattamy AC Interactive, by Lonely Owl Media, won for best digital media and best practicum.
