Indiecan takes Canadian distribution rights to Sex After Kids

The indie distributor plans an early 2014 release for Jeremy LaLonde's second feature after a festival circuit run that starts at Santa Barbara.

Avi Federgreen’s Indiecan Entertainment has picked up the Canadian distribution rights to writer/director Jeremy LaLonde’s ensemble comedy Sex After Kids, ahead of its Santa Barbara International Film Festival bow.

“It’s a great fit for Indiecan’s unconventional approach to marketing and P&A,” said Federgreen, who will see the feature make its way across the festival circuit ahead of a theatrical release in early 2014.

Sex After Kids stars Gordon Pinsent, Zoie Palmer, Kristin Booth, Amanda Brugel, Ennis Esmer and Kate Hewlett, and was shot over 20 days in Toronto.

Rounding out the cast in a film about five couples navigating sexual intimacy after parenthood is Kris Holden-Ried, Peter Keleghan and Mimi Kuzyk.

Jennifer Liao and LaLonde share producer credits, and Ryan Goldhar executive produced.
