The Canadian Film Centre has added four members to its board of directors, the organization announced Thursday.
Actor-writer Eugene Levy; Slaight Music founder Gary Slaight; Holt Renfrew SVP and general merchandising manager Pat Di Bratto; and RBC Global Asset Management chairman and portfolio manager and group head of wealth management George Lewis were named as the new members.
Needing no introduction, Levy has appeared in more than 50 feature films, having begun his career on late-night comedy series SCTV. He most recently appeared in Goon and American Reunion, and is booked into a three-episode stint on upcoming comedy Package Deal for Citytv.
Slaight, also a 2012 Playback Film and TV Hall of Fame special award honouree, is head of Slaight Music and oversees the Slaight Family Charitable Foundation, amongst his numerous Canadian music and media industry involvements and community and charitable commitments. He was also on hand earlier this year to open the Slaight Family Music Lab at the CFC’s Toronto campus.
DiBratto at Holt Renfrew oversees buying and merchandising for a portfolio of $800 million. Her retail executive experience spans more than 25 years. She has also chaired large-scale events as part of her active community and fundraising involvement.
And Lewis, in addition to serving as a member of the RBC Group Executive and group head of wealth management for RBC businesses, also serves on the boards of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and Audit and Risk Committee of Ontario Power Generation.
