Pamela Anderson books arc on Package Deal
Citytv and Thunderbird Films have added Pamela Anderson (8 Simple Rules, Scary Movie 3) to the cast of their upcoming sitcom Package Deal.
Anderson has booked an arc of three episodes as an off-beat therapist in the homegrown comedy about three overly-close brothers and the woman who comes between them.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Pamela Anderson back to the small screen for Package Deal,” said Claire Freeland, director of original programming at Rogers Media.
Anderson’s star power should make it easier for Endemol Group to sell Package Deal internationally.
She joins an ensemble cast that includes Julia Voth, Randal Edwards, Jay Malone and Harland Williams.
Andrew Orenstein (Malcolm in the Middle, 3rd Rock from the Sun), created Package Deal, which is to air on Citytv in the mid-season of 2013.
Citytv previously announced that Canadian comic Eugene Levy will also guest star in the series.
