Lauren Ash joins ABC comedy pilot Super Fun Night

The Canadian actress will star opposite Bridesmaids' Rebel Wilson and Lisa Lapira in the half-hour single-camera project earlier passed over by CBS.

Lauren Ash has been cast opposite Bridesmaids‘ Rebel Wilson in the ABC single-camera comedy pilot Super Fun Night.

Ash replaces Edi Patterson as Marika, one of three nerdy women friends looking to have “super fun” every Friday night.

The half-hour project was originally parked at CBS as a multi-cam comedy, before it was passed over and ABC picked it up and redeveloped with Lisa Lapira in a lead role alongside Ash and Wilson.

Super Fun Night hails from Wilson as the writer, co-executive producer and co-star.

Conan O’Brien of Conaco is executive producing, along with Jeff Ross and David Kissinger.

Ash plays the role of officer Kelly Morris in the CBC police drama Cracked.
