AFM 2012: 3D animated Legend of Sarila sold overseas

The Canadian-made 3D animated Inuit tale The Legend of Sarila has been sold to key territories at the American Film Market.

The project from Quebec-based 10th Avenue Productions and CarpeDiem Film & TV is directed by Nancy Florence Savard.

Sales agent Cinema Management Group inked deals at AFM  with Germany’s Telepool, Luxor in Russia and Israel’s 5 Star Pictures.

The Legend of Sarila, now in post-production, is about three young Inuits on a quest to save their clan from destruction by an evil shaman.

The animated film is voiced by Christopher Plummer, Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight) and Elisapie Isaac.

Nancy Florence shares producer credits on the project with Marie-Claude Beauchamp, Paul Risacher and Normand Thauvette.

Pierre Tremblay and Roger Harvey wrote the screenplay.
