Anchor Bay/Raven Banner take DVD rights to Manborg
Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada and Raven Banner Entertainment have snapped up the Canadian home entertainment rights to Steven Kostanski’s Manborg from indie producer Astron-6.
The genre pic about a dead soldier reanimated as a cyborg killing machine is executive produced by Colin Geddes and Peter Kuplowsky, and is currently on commercial release.
Manborg, which starred Matthew Kennedy and Adam Brooks, had its world premiere at Austin’s 2011 Fantastic Fest.
The Canadian pic also screened at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Fantasia and the Lund Fantastik Fest.
The home entertainment deal was unveiled by Rob Herholz, general manager of Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada, and Andrew Hunt, managing partner at Raven Banner.
