BuzzTaxi sells a raft of Canadian shows to Quebec broadcasters
The first season of HGTV Canada’s Canada’s Handyman Challenge is headed to TVA’s CASA channel in Quebec.
The reality show from Firvalley Productions figures among a slew of distribution deals for Canadian factual shows racked up in Quebec by BuzzTaxi.
The Toronto-based distributor has also sold a raft of content from Cream Productions into Quebec, including the Historia channel taking the Treasure Trader (pictured) series, and SRC/Explora acquiring How Machines Work and the feature documentary Egyptian Job.
And Canal Evasion picked up Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan, a wildlife and adventure series by Cream Productions.
All the Canadian shows sold by BuzzTaxi will be dubbed into the French language before airing in Quebec.
Elsewhere, Canal Evasion snapped up Survivorman: Ten Days and the original Survivorman series, while Canal D acquire two Gryphon Productions wildlife documentaries, Uakari: Secrets of the English Monkey and The Real Lost World, while RDI acquired the Bountiful Films’ documentary When the Devil Knocks.
