Minds Eye Entertainment pacts on NBC, ABC series
Kevin Dewalt's production shingle will work with Georgeville Television on Crossbones, a period pirate drama for NBC, and an untitled pandemic thriller for ABC.
Film producer Minds Eye Entertainment is getting back into U.S. network TV production.
Kevin DeWalt’s (pictured) production shingle is partnering with U.S.-based Georgeville Television to produce Crossbones, a period pirate drama.
Also on the North American partners’ slate is an untitled pandemic thriller for ABC, to be made with Overbrook Entertainment and Studio JMS, both based in California.
The twin TV deals follow Minds Eye making a string of movies, also as co-productions, including the Jessica Biel-starrer The Tall Man and Stranded, which starred Christian Slater.
“Minds Eye Entertainment has a long history of producing memorable, commercial and entertaining film and television products around the world,” said CEO DeWalt, in a statement.
“We will engage our partners and resources for each series and we look forward to working with our colleagues at Georgeville,” he added.
Sierra/Affinity, also based in southern California, will distribute Crossbones, which is to start production in March 2013.
