Montreal’s Jay Baruchel and Vancouver’s Evan Goldberg are at work on a script for Goon 2.
Plans for a sequel follows the Michael Dowse-directed comedy from indie producers Don Carmody, David Gross and Jesse Shapira being released in Canada by Alliance Films, with impressive results theatrically, and on DVD and VOD.
Also awaiting Goon 2 are Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet division, which released the original movie that starred Seann William Scott, Liev Schreiber and Jay Baruchel stateside.
And Entertainment One did over $2 million in box office with Goon in Britain, in a country that knows little about hockey itself.
