Kristin Lehman finds Motive
Canadian actress Kristin Lehman is following up her turn as a campaign advisor on AMC murder mystery The Killing with the lead role in upcoming procedural drama Motive for CTV.
Lehman will play a feisty female Vancouver homicide detective who pieces together clues to solve murders, with each episode unfolding from both her perspective and the killers’.
The series will also star Louis Ferreira (Durham County), Brendan Penny (Whistler) and Lauren Holly (NCIs), with Joey McIntyre (New Kids on the Block) announced as the first guest star in the series pilot.
Motive is produced by Vancouver-based Foundation Features and Lark Productions. The series is exec produced by Daniel Cerone, who wrote the pilot, Louise Clark, Rob Merilees, Erin Haskett, Rob LaBelle, Lindsay Macadam and showrunner James Thorpe. The series was developed for TV by Merilees, LaBelle, Clark and Haskett.
NBCUniversal International will distribute the series internationally.
Motive is slated to premiere in early 2013 on CTV.
