Lewin Webb to head, expand Tricon scripted division

Producer and director Lewin Webb has joined Tricon Films & Television to head up and expand the company’s scripted development division.

“Tricon’s expansion of its scripted division is a natural extension of our growth strategy and we couldn’t be happier to have someone of Lewin’s experience and talent heading up this important new undertaking,” said Tricon president Andrea Gorfolova in a statement.

“With the worldwide success of their first drama series Sanctuary and strength in international distribution, Tricon is perfectly positioned to grow in scripted content,” Webb said in his own statement.

Webb is a producer under his Samaritan Entertainment shingle on I Declare War, which received its world premiere this week at the Toronto International Film Festival. His producer credits also include You Bury Your Own, Winged Creatures, and Delirious, and he was executive producer on Casino Jack. As director, his credits include The Good Sheppard and The Limit.
