Videotron adds four networks to HD offerings

Videotron, a subsidiary of Quebecor Media serving 1.8 million cable customers, announced Thursday new additions to its lineup of HD channels.

Joining the Québec-based broadcaster’s offerings are three English-language channels, including HGTV Canada, Food Network, and Showcase.

Rounding out the list of new HD channels is Prise 2, a French-language service that will offer up hit Québec and foreign series and classic films.

Also joining Videotron’s offerings is Nat Geo Wild, which features shows such as Dangerous Encounters (pictured).

The network will be broadcast in standard definition.
