TIFF announces Studio program participants
A total of 16 content producers, including Daniel Bekerman, Lauren Grant and Ingrid Veninger, were selected for the year-round program that focuses on creative and business skills development and international partnerships.
The Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday announced the 16 participants selected for Studio, the organization’s first year-round program.
The successful candidates are: Daniel Bekerman, Sidney Chiu, Paula Devonshire, Hugh Gibson, Mateo Guez, Lauren Grant, Cher Hawrysh, Tanya Kelen, Michelle Latimer, Joel McConvey, Laura Milliken, Jennifer Podemski, Paul Scherzer, Sarah Timmins, Ingrid Veninger and James Wilkes.
The program aims to help Ontario-based mid-level content producers – who work in film, TV, interactive and transmedia content – reach the next level of their careers via creative and business skills development, with a particular focus on the international marketplace.
The program received more than 200 applications in its first round.
Studio will launch in September and run to August 2013.
