Fugget About It headed to Teletoon at Night after five-year journey

The kids comedy hails from Teletoon at Night's Pilot Project, which was launched in 2007.

Five years in the making, 9 Story Entertainment’s Fugget About It, voiced by Alan Thicke, Andrea Martin and Jason Jones, is headed to Teletoon at Night.

The specialty channel will debut the 13-part kids comedy from Sept. 7, at 10 p.m.

The long-awaited comedy portrays Jimmy Falcone, once a member of the Gambini crime family, in the witness protection program in Regina, Saskatchewan, trying to live like a regular schnook among friendly Canadians.

Fuggest About It hails from the Teletoon at Night Pilot Project, which aims to develop talent in the Canadian animation industry.

As part of a contest officially launched in 2007, 10 projects, including Fugget About It, were selected as finalists from over 200 submissions.

Teletoon invested $1.5 million into the pilots, which led to Fugget About It being officially green-lit for production in 2010.

Created by Willem Wennekers and Nicholas Tabarrok, Fugget About It was developed by Jeff Abugov (Two and a Half Men, Roseanne, Cheers).

Executive producers are Willem Wennekers, Nicholas Tabarrok and Jeff Abugov, and for 9 Story Vince Commisso and Steven Jarosz.
