Simonee Chichester named 2012 WIFT-T Kodak mentorship winner
Women in Film & Television Toronto announced Tuesday that writer/director/producer Simonee Chichester is the recipient of the 2012 Kodak New Vision Mentorship.
Chichester will be mentored by producer/director Ingrid Veninger and eOne Films Canada VP marketing Tamara Shannon in the leadup to the Toronto International Film Festival in September, with sessions focusing on the business and creative development of Chichester’s current feature film project, Merv.
As part of the program, she will also receive a $5,000 credit towards the purchase of Kodak Motion Picture film stock and a Kodak digital camera, and will be acknowledged at the Crystal Awards Gala Luncheon on Dec. 4.
Chichester’s credits include documentary Chichester’s Choice and recently-released CBC short My Guy. She is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Director’s Lab.
