Jon Cooksey signs with The Alpern Group

Vancouver-based screenwriter and producer Jon Cooksey has signed with The Alpern Group.

Cooksey’s credits include head writer and exec producer on So Weird and The Collector (which he co-created), writing for teen series The Best Years and exec producing on Shattered.

He is also a consulting producer on upcoming Space series Primeval: New World.

Cooksey, as a dual U.S.-Canadian citizen, can work both sides of the border, and so becomes more bankable as U.S. and Canadian producers and broadcasters increasingly pact on North American dramas sold into the world market

He will be repped by Jeff Alpern at The Alpern Group.
