Helene Joy, Liane Balaban to topline Woman in Car

Canadian actors Helene Joy and Liane Balaban have taken the leads in upcoming feature Woman in Car from director Vanya Rose and producer Anita Sharma of Studio Entertainment.

The psychological drama is a first feature for Rose, an actress turned auteur who has directed a number of earlier short films, including Impossible and At the Bottom of the Hill.

Woman in Car, to be shot in Montreal, focuses on the English side of the bilingual city, as it portrays a young widow about to remarry a successful man, only to have her life disrupted by an intruder who enters the family circle as the wedding day draws closer.

Christophe Collette is the DOP, Sharma will share producer credits with Nicolas Fonseca.
