Richard Dreyfuss signs onto starring role in Cas & Dylan
Richard Dreyfuss (Red) is to star opposite Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany in Cas and Dylan, directed by first-time feature director Jason Priestley.
The Canadian indie pic is produced by Mark Montefiore of Montefiore Films and written by Jesse Gabe (Being Erica).
Cas & Dalyn follows a dying man(Dreyfuss) who goes on the lam with an eccentric 22-year-old girl, played by Maslany.
Dreyfuss is best known for his starring roles in American Graffiti, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Goodbye Girl.
He also had the starring role of Duddy in the 1974 Canadian film The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, which was followed by a memorable role as Matt Hooper in Jaws.
Richard Dreyfuss is represented by Risa Shapiro, manager at The Schiff Company, and talent agent Barry McPherson at APA.
