DeHartog’s Lehane adaptation lands at Appian Way
Indie producer Calum deHartog of Team Seven Entertainment is developing the Dennis Lehane short story Running out of Dog with Appian Way, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Los Angeles-based production company.
The literary work, optioned by deHartog, is being adapted into a feature film, with deHartog both penning the script and directing.
Running out of Dog is about a Vietnam vet returning to their Eden, South Carolina hometown and becoming entangled with the wife of a man whose wealthy family kept him out of the war.
DeHartog is also the co-creator of procedural police drama Cracked, produced by White Pine Pictures, for CBC, currently in production.
DeHartog is repped by CAA.
