Don Carmody’s Mortal Instruments books into Cinespace studio
Canadian producer Don Carmody’s fantasy epic Mortal Instruments, the adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s YA fantasy novel, is booked into Cinespace’s Kipling Avenue studio for an August to November shoot.
The Karate Kid director Harald Zwart is to lense the adaptation, which is also from Constantin Film and Unique Pictures.
The fantasy epic, to star Lily Collins, has also added Kevin Zegers, Jamie Campbell Bower, Lena Headley and Jared Harris to the cast.
Zwart is directing Mortal Instruments from a script by Jessica Postigo and Marlene King.
Carmody is sharing the producer credits with Robert Kulzer for Constantin Film and Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne for Unique Pictures.
