Eastlink TV unveils local programming shot in HD
The opening games of both the Atlantic University Sports regular football season and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season later this year are among the indigenous programming Eastlink TV will broadcast in high definition, thanks to its recently purchased HD mobile-production vehicle (pictured).
The HD programming will begin to be carried on the Halifax-based regional telecom’s channel 610 in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island on July 1.
“Eastlink TV viewers are passionate about our unique, high-quality community programming,” says Michael Smith, VP Eastlink TV in a statement Friday.
Other locally produced programs that will be shot in HD include Halifax Rainmen Basketball games, Welcome to My Kitchen, Doc Talk, Eastlink Magazine, Island View, Fishing With Friends and Path of Yoga.
