Harold Greenberg Fund puts equity into two upcoming features
Sudz Sutherland’s Home Again and Richie Mehta’s I’ll Follow You Down have received funding through the equity investment program of Astral’s Harold Greenberg Fund.
Home Again, Sutherland’s sophomore feature, stars an ensemble cast featuring Tatyana Ali (Fresh Prince of Bel Air) and Cle Bennett (Barney’s Version).
Sutherland co-wrote the project, which was shot in Trinidad, Jamaica and Toronto in January and February, with producer Jennifer Holness. Don Carmody exec produced the film.
Mehta’s follow up to his acclaimed Amal is produced by Lee Kim (Small Town Murder Songs) of Resolute Films and Entertainment, and stars Haley Joel Osment, Victor Garber, Gillian Anderson and Rufus Sewell.
The equity investment program, funded by Viewer’s Choice, supports production of Canadian feature films.
