ABC true crime series Final Witness headed to Citytv and OMNI TV
Rogers Media has acquired the ABC true crime series Final Witness for its Citytv summer schedule.
The seven-part series about real-life homicides, produced for ABC by Lincoln Square Productions, will bow June 27 on both Rogers’ OMNI Television and Citytv, before shifting exclusively to Citytv a week later on July 4.
The Final Witness docudrama debuts with the “The Kids Are Alright” episode, an initial backdoor pilot about the murder of the 2008 Caffey family in east Texas that prompted a limited series order from ABC.
Each episode is told from the vantage point of the murder victim, as if they came back to life to give their point of view.
Final Witness is executive produced by Rudy Bednar and Christine Connor, with Lee Beckett producing.
