Billy Campbell replaces Jason Patric on Copperhead shoot
The New Brunswick film shoot for Copperhead has seen a talent shakeup.
Billy Campbell (The Killing) has replaced Jason Patric in the lead role of patriarch Abner Beech as director Ron Maxwell (Gods and Generals, Gettysburg) keeps the cameras rolling on location in King’s Landing, just outside of Fredericton.
Copperhead co-producer John Houston of Houston Productions told Playback Daily that Patric left the film over “creative differences” on set.
Penned by Bill Kaufman, the Civil War-era movie Copperhead portrays a family on the homefront in New York State ripped apart by feuding and political strife.
