Hemlock Grove, the 13-episode Netflix streaming horror series, has booked sound-stages at Cinespace’s Kipling Avenue studio.
Playback Daily first reported in mid-May that the dark and gory Netflix series was scouting Toronto after plans to tap a Pennsylvania film tax credit fell through.
Now comes word that the Gaumont International Television project with Eli Roth as director and executive producer is set to shoot on Kipling Avenue from July 10 to December 14, 2012.
Hemlock Grove, based on a novel by Brian McGreevy, is top-lined by Famke Janssen and Bill Skarsgard.
Lynn Raynor is producing.
McGreevy and Roth are executive producing, along with Lee Shipman, Eric Newman and Michael Connolly (Battlestar Gallatica).
