Michelle Kosoy moves from Shaw Media to Castlewood
Her departure to the indie prodco, best known for the Canadian version of Cash Cab (pictured), comes as Shaw hires Lisa Godfrey as its new director of programming and schedule, specialty.
Michelle Kosoy has left Shaw Media to become head of development at indie producer Castlewood Productions.
Kosoy, most recently acting director, programming and scheduling, specialty, had been with the broadcaster for 11 years.

Founded in 2007, Andrew Burnstein’s Castlewood Productions, based in Toronto, is best known for its Canadian version of Cash Cab (pictured) for Discovery Channel Canada, now in production on its sixth season.
Other series include Design DNA on HGTV Canada and Best Trip Ever, hosted by Olympic gold medalist Jon Montgomery.
Castlewood also has among its credits the pilot Some Assembly Required for HGTV Canada.
Before joining then Alliance Atlantic Communications in 1999, Kosoy worked for a decade at the CBC in Toronto, including on the Midday TV show, and before that as a producer with NBC Nightly News and the CBC in London, England.
