Chantal Ling has joined Mercury Filmworks as a producer.

Ling will report to VP production Bryan Popowich, and oversee production of several animated television programs. She will focus on pilot projects and international co-productions.

The former executive VP of Ottawa-based Amberwood Entertainment has worked for more than 13 years in the industry, and has produced children’s programming including The Snow Queen for BBC and CBC, Rollbots for YTV, and Rob the Robot for TVO.

Ling will be based out of Mercury’s Ottawa offices, effective March 5.
