CTV has pushed into development two possible series groomed by the National Screen Institute.
The first is a one hour procedural The Mark of Cain by producer Shaun Johnson and writer Tammy Marlowe Johnson (pictured), which is in development at Frantic Films.
While at the NSI, the producer/writer team behind The Mark of Cain knocked their series into shape with the help of showrunner Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue), while being mentored by Tecca Crosby.
The other possible series parked in development at CTV is Amnesia Girl, a one hour teen drama from writer/producer Pat Mills, a graduate of the CTV Diverse Screenwriters program.
Amnesia Girl is being developed through CTV’s Writer’s Only program.
The NSI’s Totally Television program over the past eight years has put 12 TV series into development with a Canadian broadcaster, with five going on to be produced for broadcast, including Todd and the Book of Pure Evil and Less Than Kind.
