Love It or List It heads to Vancouver

Love It or List It is heading west, with production in Vancouver beginning in May on 26 one-hour episodes.

In each episode of the series, produced by Toronto-based Big Coat Productions, homeowners decide between renovating their homes or putting them on the market, with an interior designer and realtor competing for the final decision.

The Vancouver-shot season will shoot in conjunction with the fifth season, which will shoot in Toronto.

“We’re confident that our show format can travel, so doing the first offshoot in Vancouver seems like a natural leap for us and Love It or List It,” said Maria Armstrong, Big Coat Productions exec producer in a statement.

The show also airs on HGTV in the U.S.

Big Coat produces the series, which premiered in September 2008, for W Network.
