The Voice takes Monday night
The Voice continued the upward trend it started on Super Bowl Sunday night on Monday, bringing in 1.9 million (2+) viewers for its two-hour episode at 8 p.m. on CTV, according to overnight BBM Canada numbers provided by Bell Media.
The reality show edged out House on Global, which had 1.7 million (2+) viewers in the same time slot Monday night, as well as beating NCIS‘s 200th episode at 9 p.m., which had 1.5 million viewers, according to BBM Canada numbers provided by Global.
Singing took a back seat at 10 p.m., with Hawaii Five-0 bringing in more viewers on Global than the premiere of Smash on CTV. Hawaii Five-0 saw 1.7 million (2+) viewers, with the first episode of Smash bringing in 1.4 million (2+) viewers on CTV.
Monday night’s premiere of Smash followed a weekend-long preview that made the show available to 5.4 million homes via video on demand, on CTV.ca, the CTV iPad App and on CTV Mobile. By Sunday night, the preview had seen 250,000 views on CTV.ca, according to the release.
