APTN names Ille programming director
The Aboriginal People’s Television Network announced Friday Monika Ille as the new director of programming, effective immediately.
With 20 years of broadcasting industry experience, Ille has worked for the last eight years at the APTN as programming manager for the eastern region. She previously worked at the Société Radio-Canada and the NFB, where she developed a training program for Aboriginal filmmakers. She also directed the documentary French Man, Native Son.
“[Ille’s] experience, expertise and background will be an asset to the network, as well as our entire Aboriginal production community,” said APTN CEO Jean LaRose.
The ATPN is a national broadcaster providing Aboriginal programming, with headquarters in Winnipeg.
Ille will be based out of the APTN’s Montreal office.
