Astral’s Peter Furnish joins CTAM board

The Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing of Canada has named its 2012 board of directors.

Peter Furnish, VP marketing, Astral Television Networks, has joined the board as research chair.

Joining Furnish are Peter Kovacs, video distribution director, regulatory, Rogers Communications Inc.; Jeremy McCarthy, Hollywood Suite Inc. director of business development; Julie Kumaria, affiliate marketing manager at Astral Television Networks; Hawley T. Chester III, VP Canadian sales and marketing for Speed Channel at Fox Cable Networks; Gary Pelletier, VP marketing for Stingray Digital and Suzanne Gouin TV5 Quebec Canada CEO.

David Purdy of Rogers Communications, who last year served as CTAM Canada VP and sponsorship chair, was elected as this year’s president. Outgoing president is Aivy Reinfelds, also of Rogers.

CTAM Canada is non-profit professional association aimed a growing the cable business and helping members excel in their professional careers by providing them with information, education and contacts.
