Gary Howsam and Bill Marks reteam on The Truth
Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, Kevin Durand and Devon Bostick have joined the cast for The Truth from Canadian producers Gary Howsam and Bill Marks.
The action thriller from writer/director Damian Lee stars Andy Garcia as a CIA operative-turned-TV talk show host who investigates a South American village massacre.
Also starring in the picture, now before the camera in Ontario and the Dominican Republic, is Eva Longoria and Forest Whitaker.
Unger is also a lead in the medical drama Combat Hospital, which shoots in Toronto, while Durand had a co-starring role in Edwin Boyd, and Bostick starred in Atom Egoyan’s Adoration.
Howsam and Marks earlier teamed up to produce Casino Jack, the Kevin Spacey-starring drama that was directed by the late George Hickenlooper.
The executive producers of The Truth are Jeff Sackman, Garcia and Coates.
The DOP on The Truth is Bobby Shore, with Tony Cowley as the production designer.
