New Playhouse Disney Canada series backed with interactive

Toronto-based interactive studio zinc Roe is collaborating with production company Radical Sheep to develop an interactive extension of the new preschool series Stella and Sam, which premieres January 9 on Playhouse Disney in Canada.

The Stella and Sam-branded microsite will launch in both English and French on PlayhouseDisney.ca and will feature a series of interactive adventures that will also be packaged as apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The new series, based on the books by Canadian author and illustrator Marie-Louise Gay, follows the backyard adventures of four-year-old Sam and his older sister Stella.
