Innovation Nation gets on-air and mobile debut
A new science and tech show is hitting Canuck airwaves today, as Innovation Nation debuts on Discovery Channel Canada.
The series from Regina’s Partners in Motion takes an up-close look at scientific discoveries that have an effect on the world, with each episode depicting a global journey to uncover these stories, from “international megaprojects to backyard adventures,” according to EVP and executive producer Ron Goetz.
Meanwhile, its recently acquired subsidiary Pocket Media will be launching a mobile app for iPhone and Android devices along with the show’s website.
An online contest will run on www.innovationnation.tv, encouraging inventors to submit videos of their contraptions for a chance to win $30,000 in services.
The series will be rebroadcast in January 2011 on SCN and Access Alberta.
