Robert Knepper (Heroes) and Paul Calderon (The Last Castle) will appear alongside Toronto-based newcomer Adrian Cowan in Natural Born Thieves.

It’s the first feature from Toronto-based Reverson Entertainment and director/screenwriter Sanzhar Sultanov, based on a trio of stories by American novelist Jack London. It begins principal photography around Toronto on Feb. 23.

Knepper was most recently seen as the villain Samuel Sullivan on NBC’s Heroes. His credits include Everyone Says I Love You and Good Night, and Good Luck and, on the small screen, Prison Break, E.R. and The West Wing. Calderon appeared in The Last Castle with Robert Redford, and Girlfight, along with boasting three dozen film credits including Out of Sight and Pulp Fiction.

Other newcomers in the cast: Mark Molnar, Guy Castonguay and Joe Taylor. Timothy Hay is producer.
