Brit shorts go mobile

MoboVivo has signed a deal with BBC Motion Gallery to distribute over 100 short programs globally.

BBC Motion Gallery provides stock footage and short-form content made specifically for the web. The deal announced this week will see titles such as Animal Autopsy, Changing World and Natural Remedy added to MoboVivo’s environmentally themed GreenTV channel, while its MoboDiva, which is geared toward women, will air titles such as Style Trek and Science of Food.

The Calgary-based mobile distributor will initially handle 10 series from BBC Motion Gallery, 130 programs overall, each running about three to five minutes.

‘We’re thrilled to be working with BBC Motion Gallery. We have selected this initial line-up of programs to target specific audiences and existing customers on all screens’ said Trevor Doerksen, MoboVivo founder and CEO, in a statement..
