Up to five teams will be selected. Selected teams do not have to pay tuition or relocate.

The Winnipeg institute — billed as Canada’s oldest nationally recognized training school for film and television — offers the program in association with Telefilm Canada and The Brian Linehan Charitable Foundation, aiming to help emerging filmmakers advance their first or second feature film. Eleven of 33 projects developed by the program have been produced.

Teams must apply with a feature film script by Sept. 28. Visit www.nsi-canada.ca/featuresfirst for full details.
