Poko takes top ACT award

Halifax Film’s animated preschool series Poko was the grand prize winner Thursday night at the annual awards of The Alliance for Children and Television, an industry group that looks to support quality media for kids through advocacy, recognition, and training

ACT, which held its gala at the Toronto headquarters of CBC, also handed a special jury prize to This is Emily Yeung from local shops marblemedia and Sinking Ship Entertainment. Twelve prizes in all were given, including:
