Barbara Williams has exited the top spot at Toronto 1 to be SVP of programming and production at CanWest Mediaworks, and will oversee buys and productions for all of CanWest’s conventional and specialty channels under Kathleen Dore as of Feb. 17.

Several other execs have been shuffled, the first changes since CWM formed after last year’s management shakeup at parent CanWest Global.

Chris McGinley is now VP of Western stations, overseeing B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan. Likewise, Patrick O’Hara is the new eastern VP, heading operations in Manitoba, Quebec, the Maritimes and Ontario, except for Global Ontario, which is now under the control of VP Bill Hunt.

Programmer Adam Ivers is also now responsible for acquisitions, both speciality and conventional, and Steve Wyatt is the new SVP of news and information.
